hey sorry its been a while been a bit up and down lately what with everything thats been going off lately, but i think we're all getting there slowly the house is so quiet without kyla and a little strange ozlo seems lost and doesnt know what to do with himself and nathan keeps asking were she is but im sure things will start looking up soon.

on a lighter note iv now lost 1 stone 4 and half pounds so only 2 and half pounds to go till iv lost 1 and half stone still got a long way to go but its coming down not bad i suppose for 10 weeks!

my little boy james will be 1 on friday cant believe a whole year has gone since he was born its crazy time goes by so fast these days!

i received a terrible heartbreaking phone call today at around 2pm from my vet telling me he had kyla open on his table and had discovered a huge inoperable tumour on her liver so the tumours in her intestines had unfortunately spread, he then proceeded to say do you want me to bring her round or not wake her i nearly died myself and broke down on the phone i feel like iv lost one of my children my kids and my dogs are my life so someone telling me one of my babies is fatally ill and theres nothing they can do just cuts me up inside - so today 21st october 2009 at around 2pm my much beloved family pet kyla departed this world and moved onto the next - what kills even more is trying to explain to my 3 year old son whos only known life with kyla in it as they've grown up together cuz when i got kyla at 10 weeks old nathan was 8 weeks old, nathan was as devastated as me i told him kyla wouldnt be coming home and he started crying and saying my kyla and stood at the window looking for her and crying and shouting her name this tore me apart i broke down crying in the middle of my living room i cant imagine life without kyla i love my beautiful bouncing bear her nick name was kyla beanbag bear dont ask me why it just sort of happened! she was the best dog iv ever owned why did she have to go so young.... its probably karma for all those times iv given up on my old dogs in the past my untrainable destructive dogs or aggressive dogs maybe if i hadnt been so quick to get rid of those and given them the chance maybe kyla would of been given the chance of living! thats completely stupid what am i saying...... ok iv got to go now cant stop crying :'(

well been having to take kyla back and forward to the vets just lately not quite sure whats wrong one minute she seems fine next minute shes really lathargic and throwing up everywhere hope its nothing serious shes my baby dont know what id do without her and shes only young when you get a dog you expect to have it till a ripe old age not almost 3 years old thats not right! well shes in the vets tonight for observations hopefully they find what evers wrong and be able to treat it, the vet gave me a few ideas of what it could be varying from a good 'odd stomach bug that we can treat with antibiotics' to a not so good 'hemorrhagic gastroenteritis...which to us dummies means anything like tumors, an obstruction of the intestines, foreign objects and trauma' and im heart broken to say the vet things it could be the worse as her stomach and intestines feel very swollen and uncomfortable for her and her stools have quite a high blood content so its not looking good! :( but im still holding out hope for her im hoping she dont go more down hill over night because she wasnt looking so well when i took her to the vets today, the vets are going to do some blood tests and xray her intestines and stomach and have her on fluids over night and tomorrow, im hoping they'll phone me with some good news, dont think im going to sleep tonight!!! wish me luck :'(

im feeling a little concerned today, my german shepherd kyla has been acting a little wierd and not quite herself which is a little worrying, shes been being sick alot and keeps barking for no reason i know this might sound like nothing to most people but for kyla this is odd behaviour i may pop her to the vets and get her checked just to be on the safe side because she does have a lump on her side so im quite worried this new behaviour may have something to do with that its probably nothing but i will see and keep you informed!

well iv been going to slimming world for 5 weeks now and lost 10 pound now i know thats not much but i suppose some loss is better than no loss, im feeling a little down at the moment and im really craving chocolate and struggling to resist! im a comfort eater and when i get low i want to eat!!! :( its so hard to resist food

well its Saturday night and im on the wine its cheap wine but its doing the trick but what i really need is some of my mates wine cuz that packs a punch..... wow that stuffs good!!!! you need to go to jopanofmanypets blog and she has loads of recipes for wine and various other stuff but its all good stuff! bring on the wine!!!!

Huge Spider

Last night i went into my kitchen only to discover the biggest spider i have ever seen in my life! i just had to take a pic for everyone to see! i cant stand spiders and i swear british spiders are getting bigger, and then i went into the living room and another one just as big crawled across the floor i nearly died! i was surrounded.... i spent the rest of the evening perched high on the back of the sofa until i dared to dive off and run upstairs to bed! terrible i kow i dont even know why im afraid of them but i am!

holidays

ok well at this current moment im searching for a holiday...... joyful! not very interesting i know but iv not been on holiday in years and in desperate need of a break cuz i am a stressed eric!!!! so far im kinda settling towards corfu.

right, a really odd thing occurred today my cavalier king charles spaniel tried to mount and proceeded to hump my ginger and white cat luna much to her disliking! she turned on him and hung of his face for nearly 5 whole minutes with him squorking and squealing for dear life which although was obviously distressing for poor ozlo, i found it remarkably funny! cruel i know but he should of known better than to try and hump a feline :)

im having some serious coca cola withdrawals! i am a coke addict (thats the drink not the white stuff!) its been almost 3 weeks which i might add is very good for me but its killing me i have headaches, im angry and quite frankly not nice to be around and all this from a drink.... who'd of thunk it!

ok well thats me for tonight nothing much interesting, wierd or wonderful about this post but im sure ill get the swing of it eventually!! night night and god bless <><

Well ok this is as you can tell my second post! yey for me!

so now for the most important people in my life... my boys..... Nathan, my first born, on 15th january 2007 so almost 3 now... wow how time flies, and now i know this is prob really boring but to me these things are important to me kids and pets that is! nathan was born in around 2 - 3 hours with no pain or contractions didnt even know he was coming till he was pretty much here only just made it to hospital! and then theres james my baby he was born on 6th november 2008 so will soon be celebrating his first birthday, james was born at home in my bath my water broke when i woke in the morning at 7.35am and was born 8.08am 28minutes later again with no pain or contractions, when my waters broke i thought im in no pain ill have a quick bath then go to hospital only james didnt agree with that plan :)

then theres my lovely hubby, dan, iv been with him nearly 5 years married nearly 2 years which is crazy to think iv been with 1 guy for almost 5 years! but wouldnt have it any other way, sad and soppy i know but there you go :)

i promise i will talk about more interesting things in the future but thought id get the boring stuff out the way first :)

Well ok all this is my first post, my friend jo put me on to this she thought id be interesting?? not sure how not really very interesting i dont think, all i have to talk about is my kids and my pets......

well i have a female almost 3 year old german shepherd called 'kyla', sable, short coat, beautiful she is! shes so soft and gentle and brilliant with my kids couldnt ask for a better dog really

Then theres little 'ozlo' he's a 10 month old cavalier king charles spaniel, tri colour, again a beautiful dog extremly friendly and well a little bit crazy!!

Also we have 'pheonix' and 'luna' our 2 cats, pheonix is mother to luna, pheonix is a tortouise shell 2 year old, and luna is a ginger and white 1 year old both female,

and then last of all theres 'enyo' my green blotched snow corn snake he/she is around a year old and about 2 foot long but should reach around 5/6 foot when fully grown, its my first snake but i have to say its a very affectionate and friendly snake even lets nathan hold it!

ill leave it at that for a first post but ill come back with more joyful exciting facts about life in the harrison-young household soon , peace out, god bless <><
